This kind of exercise improves the health of your lungs, your heart, and your circulatory system. Aerobic exercise both delays and prevents diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancers. Whether you’re going for a nice and soothing walk or running on your favorite trail, it’s recommended that you engage in aerobic exercise for at least 75 to 150 minutes per week.
Strength exercise stimulates bone growth, lowers blood sugar, improves balance and posture, and helps reduce pain in the back and joints. Don’t have dumbbells? Not a problem! Squats, lunges, and push-ups are great ways to exercise our strength from the comfort of our homes.
Practicing steady balance helps to prevent falls and injury, especially with age. With a little bit of yoga, tai chi, or Pilates, you’ll be sure to stand tall and proud with your crown on tight.
